This section is specifically designed for women who are beginning to lose their hair and are looking for answers. What are the first steps that you will take? Should you be referred to a dermatologist? Is there a caring and understanding dermatologist in your area? What sort of blood tests should you have done FIRST? Is it simply a thyroid problem that you are having or do you think it might be alopecia areata? Ask our resident experts all of your questions about your hair loss. Remember, the more descriptive you are of your hair loss problem, the more help our hair loss experts can be!

AndroGenetic Alopecia (AGA)
An entire section devoted to women experiencing female pattern baldness, also known as androgenetic alopecia. Women who have androgenic alopecia usually have hair that becomes thinner all over the head. Sometimes, the hair loss can occur primarily in the temple, widow's peak region and occasionally the hairline will recede.
